Seyðisfjörður Archive for Literature gathers all text written in Seyðisfjörður. All kinds of texts. We are interested in all of it. This place has something special and we are not so interested in looking at what that might be, but rather what it might do. And we are looking at that through the writing that is being done here. So whether it is diary notes, poems, novels, letters or something completely else, it can go into the archive as long as it has been written here in town.

Once a year we look through the archive and curate an anthology of texts and occasionally we also do special publications with some of the people who have contributed to the archive. You can see more about these under ‘publications’.

The archive only exist in its physical form and is not digitalized. But you are always welcome to come by and see and read the texts, and we can make copies of things you would like to read again and again.

The address is Suðurgata 2. It’s the little brown, wooden house.
